ODESSA - Permian's annual Black-White game marks the conclusion of the Spring Training sessions each year. The live game setting gives players their chance to shine for parents, fans, and coaches... a sneak preview of the upcoming Panthers, if you will. Running back Greg George gave the Mojo faithful plenty to have an optimistic view of the coming 2010 season as he led Team Black to 41-10 victory over Team White Tuesday night in Ratliff Stadium.
White's first two possessions and plays resulted in turnovers. Mojo's Team Black defense stripped DeAnthony Fay on the first play from scrimmage, and then Tommey Morris coughed up the ball on the next possession. Black answered. Greg George scored the first two touchdowns to put Team Black up 14-0. George racked up 199 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns in the game. White utilized their third possession to make their way down the field before settling with a 32-yard field goal to trail 14-3 at the end of the first quarter.

The Team Black defense added seven points to the lead in the second quarter when they blocked a Team White punt on the 18 yard line and returned it into the end zone. Talon Smith got into the backfield to put a hand on the ball, which was recovered by Craig Wesson. The Black defense remained dominate, as Scotty Satterwhite recorded a pick to dash hopes of a White score late in the second. Black owned a 21-3 lead at the halftime break.
Kris Miller hauled in a Landry Serrano pass from 26 yards out and stepped into the end zone early in the third, and Tra Fay got into the act by stripping Jack Wilkins on a rollout pass play to have Team Black enjoying a 35-3 margin at the end of the quarter. Austin Reynolds recorded an interception in the fourth quarter to set up a 35-yard touchdown run by George, his third score of the game.
